MICRO ENTITY STATUS

Here’s more information to help you determine if you qualify to file a patent application and claim microentity status. If you are eligible, the USPTO will reduce most patent fees by 75%.

Gross income – Use form SB/15a to certify:

1. The applicant qualifies as a small entity
2. No inventor and no other applicant has been named as an inventor
3. No inventor and no other applicant in the calendar year preceding the calendar year in which the applicable fee is being paid
4. No inventor and no other applicant has assigned, granted or conveyed a license.
